The Colleges Group is financially one of the strongest of its kind in the country with very high success rates, amongst the top 10% nationally.

In November 2016 the College another College to form the Colleges Group. The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 620 students on higher education programmes. They have over 2,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where they work with over 800 individual employers.

They are looking for positive and enthusiastic Lecturers who are able to deliver at both Entry and Level 1 across a wide range of vocational areas. As well as your flexibility and enthusiasm for giving learners a second chance in education, you will be good at motivating reluctant or challenging learners and will have experience of teaching students with a learning disability or who are on the autistic spectrum.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To teach and assess on the following programmes/qualifications: Entry Level 1-3 AIM Certificate in Developing Skills for the Workplace (LDD provision) Level 1 AIM Certificate in Employability (LDD provision) Entry 3 and Level 1 BTEC Vocational Studies Programmes across 7 vocational pathways as well as English & Maths to Level 1.
  • Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
  • Act as Personal Tutor to a group of students and undertake the duties associated with this pastoral role.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally has a first degree (or equivalent in a relevant discipline).
  • Has a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS or equivalent) or willingness to train for one
  • Has experience of teaching at entry level and level 1.
