My Client is seeking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst for their nationwide elderly care organisation based in Derby The Business Analysis Team (BAT) provides the organisation with a single source of the truth delivering insight and analysis that informs effective management decisions. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the roles are varied and interesting, working with senior stakeholders across the organisation. The roles operate within a pool structure with three levels within the pool. Principal Responsibilities: The tasks undertaken within the pool will be varied but will include: - The provision of monthly management accounts, associated performance information and commentary on key financial and non financial indicators to facilitate management decision making. To ensure that this information is timely, accurate, consistent, complete and informative. This will include challenging the data and driving the analysis that feeds into the management accounts - Provide high quality analysis and insight of key issues and present suggestions for improving performance in a logical and compelling way - Identify emerging trends, areas for concern or further investigation; value creating opportunities or other areas of financial interest for the organisation - Delivers, maintains and improves reporting and analysis for all recurring finance activities, including the development of standard templates used by the Finance community - Providing ad hoc analysis to drive understanding of performance across the organisation - Management of cost-centre reporting, including the provision of insight and advice on cost control - Assist in the preparation and submission of Business Plans, Budgets and Quarterly reforecasts. To include the review of templates, preparation of data, consolidation of operations, the review of KPI's, the provision of analysis and the understanding of performance drivers. Manage the working relationships of finance and operations staff to deliver timely and accurate plans To apply you must be able to demonstrate - - Educated to Degree level - Minimum Part Qualified Accountant with a commitment to complete the qualification - Experience of providing Commercial finance services in a multi site organisation - Proven experience leading and managing staff members - Experience of the charitable sector, social housing, and/or commercial housing sectors - Experience in an accounts environment - Experience of supervising others - Analytical and problem solving skills - Solid spreadsheet experience, database use and report writing - Awareness of issues affecting older people - Good communication skills - Good presentation, influencing and negotiation skills Salary £33,000 to £35,000 Plus benefits
