The Learning Technology Officer will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment to assist in the evaluation, development and support of online and learning technologies within the University, to enhance the quality of learning and teaching, the student experience and meet the University’s strategic aims. You will be the primary link between IT and other Learning Technology Officers ensuring a successful implementation of Lecture Capture and contribute to the University’s emerging digital strategy. You will also provide advice, guidance and training where appropriate.
You will be expected to have knowledge of the appropriate use of electronic technologies in traditional teaching and learning formats, such as lectures and tutorials, as well as in online learning modes. It is also expected that the successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject or have an equivalent qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
The role will require an understanding of the latest technologies and their applicability to enhance learning. You will need to enthusiastically support and encourage the use of technologies by academic colleagues.
