Supplier Development Manager (Contract)
Job Title: Supplier Development Project Manager Salary: £350 a day (depending on experience) Aktrion Transport are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious Rail Client based in the midlands who have a vacancy for Project Manager on a contract basis. This is what you need to do: To manage and audit a team of Supplier Quality Engineers at various sites across the UK, particularly in the midlands. You and your team will be offering support, technical knowledge and providing audits with the aim of producing of supplier plans to improve their production. Responsibilities: Reports operationally to the Operations director upon updates of the project Managing an existing team of procurement specialist and SQA Engineers Supply chain management of around 6 key "at risk" suppliers Maintain supplier relations whilst driving improvements Produce full scale project plans for all projects ensuring appropriate controls and quality are incorporated. Provide a strategic Planning service to the business advising on overall capacity and other resource requirements Facilitate the definition of planning scope, goals and deliverables Define project tasks and resource requirements, specify project resource allocation as necessary Custodian of the Project Planning system; maintain data integrity and ensure procedures and processes are fully adopted and adapted as necessary Quality assurance and Risk management within the Projects function Educational Requirements and Relating Experience: History of managing multi-disciplined Engineering teams to budget and time constraints Strong Quality background (but not necessarily rail) Knowledge and understanding of railway standards and approvals would be beneficial Use and application of PC based project planning tools e.g. Microsoft Project etc. Strong Manufacturing experience Membership of professional body If you have the relevant skills and experience and wish to apply, please send a copy of your CV and click apply.
