I am recruiting for a Research Manager for a prestigious client who is one of the leading companies in the UK based in Sutton Coldfield. JOB ROLE You will be providing high quality, timely research, analysis and insights into markets, competitors and consumers, to enable the Head of Insight and External Affairs (and other senior stakeholders) to make informed strategic and business decisions. This role will be responsible for the management of research and insight supplying agencies, and for the timely and cost effective implementation of research projects including liaison with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Projects will include ongoing tracking research, the competitor market, current customers and bespoke specialised projects such as the misleading of online/telephone sales and crematorium services within the UK. Your research will not only be to impact the benefits of the client but also the industry as a whole, with your results potentially being presented to MP's. They allow customers to pre plan and pre pay for their funeral, meaning people can ensure their own funeral is arranged to how they would like and paid before they pass away, reducing further stress and upset to their family/friends. TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES - WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? - Maintain and provide timely updates of existing competitor analysis across an agreed range of products and services. - Manage the execution and production of existing primary research to generate customer insight through external agencies including but not limited to Market Monitor and Customer Survey data. - Reporting of actionable findings to senior leaders within the business - Support the Head of Insight and External Affairs to scope, brief and implement strategic research projects. - Managing the research including; - Preparation and sign off of question sets, - Preparation of stimulus materials, - Analysis of research findings, - Reporting and dissemination of results to educate internal and external stakeholders. - Engage and liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of research projects - Day to day stakeholder management, both internal and external including all levels of colleagues/clients - Support in the effective management of approved suppliers. - Act as first point of contact, resolving issues where they arise and escalating effectively. - Create and maintain process and quality controls to manage inputs, outputs and ensure all documents are safely stored. (Including briefing documents, quotes, question sets, reports). - Data analysis and reporting including liaising with other functions to source appropriate customer and business intelligence. - Writing up reports and putting data in to professional presentations PERSONAL SPECIFICATION - 10 years experience within research - Prior experience of commissioning a wide range of projects including qualitative and quantitative research - Experienced in a number of research methodologies and techniques - Manage research projects up to 75k, - Manage research projects and teams which range across the client, external clients, agencies and stakeholders. - Ability to identify, articulate and communicate in an impactful way the key conclusion from technical analysis and research results. - Ability to scope, commission and manage agencies demonstrating a strong commercial awareness - Experience of managing external agencies - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to prepare and perform presentations - Confidence and ability to manage and influence at multiple levels including senior managers - Strong numerical and analytical skills with experience of SPSS or a similar programme - IT literate to include MS suite (powerpoint, excel, word, outlook) - Experience of report writing and research project briefing - Are a self motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously without direct supervision - Confident in nature who is happy to push back/feedback to senior stakeholders - Career minded with a passion for the research industry PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE THE EXPERIENCE WHICH IS REQUESTED FROM THE ABOVE PERSONAL SPECIFICATION WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? - Up to £45,000 - 25 Days holiday bank holidays each year - 38.75 working week, Monday to Friday, slightly flexible start and finish time agreeable with line manager - A brilliant company Pension - Private Healthcare - Car parking available - Modern staff room with utilities If you are have extensive research experience and interested in this position please send your cv and call 0121 6333888 and ask for Adam or Melissa.
