Document Management Specialist
DPD Document Management Specialists - Derby We have an requirement for 2 Digital Product Definition (DPD) Document Management Specialists initially for a 12 month contract, for a leader in mechatronic engineering services and solutions who partner with the most trusted names in Aero Engines, Aerospace & Defence to deliver solutions across the complete product life cycle, in the fastest and most valuable manner, spanning complex systems, platforms and products. This role will be based in their facilities in Derby. Role: The Digital Product Definition (DPD) Document Management Specialists will Support the technical specialists and Project manager in developing workflows for document management including integration with MS Office and dispatcher servers. Responsibilities: DPD Document Management Specialists will: - Create workflows in consultation with and as per guidance from Technical Specialist - Test solutions in the appropriate application(s) as delivered by the third party suppliers. - Utilise the ALM application for all test & defect management. - Escalate technical issues for resolution to the Solution Lead and/or DPD Project Manager(s). - Identification and update/generate the project specific Rolls-Royce documentation (e.g. Test Script(s), Solution Document(s), Functional Requirements Specification(s)). - Feedback to Technical Specialist and DPD Project Manager health monitoring, license management, PLM admin changes. - Support end user, as required, in consultation with the Technical Specialists Experience and Skills: - People, communication and influencing skills - Writing technical documentation - Business process understanding - Ability to recognise and articulate the technical dependencies within the capability, and across projects - Technical knowledge of the PLM toolset - Technical knowledge of the legacy PLM toolset - Understanding of data management principles Understanding of the DPD support processes - Experience in workflows and revision management within Team Center - Knowledge of Teamcenter Document Management capabilities, MS Office Integration, Active workspace knowledge Rate - Negotiable dependent upon experience.
