This is an exciting time to join our team and make a difference as we develop Maths into vocational areas.  Teaching GCSE Maths to 16-18s and adult learners at all levels, you’ll help people improve their Maths by undertaking initial and diagnostic assessments and formulating individual learning plans. Providing differentiated learning strategies, you will enable students to achieve their primary learning goals.

You will either hold a teaching qualification i.e., CTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLS, or be committed to, as a minimum, achieving the certificate in Education and Training (CET) qualification with the support of the College. You will bring practical teaching experience, including teaching functional skills and GCSE, together with a minimum of a Level 5 subject specialist qualification in Maths.

Able to work as part of a team in developing teaching styles and resources, you will also have sound administration and organisational skills. Your enthusiasm for pursuing your own personal learning will be matched by an imaginative and empathetic approach to teaching, retaining and inspiring students.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The College is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from all sections of the community.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
