To learn more about us visit our website The role: To Design electronic products for a variety of major OEM's in market sectors including Automotive (prestige, high performance and electric vehicles) Agriculture, construction and Consumer heating systems. The scope of projects ranges from commercial boiler control systems, body and chassis control systems for agriculture and construction industries to advanced instrument clusters, passive keys and active suspension systems for high performance vehicles. Working with a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of Mechanical, Electronic and Software Engineers you will be involved in every aspect of the product lifecycle from initial contact with the customer through quotation, conception and design to manufacture. The work is rewarding and diverse enabling you to use the full scope of your electronic engineering skills and experience. About you: You will be an experienced Electronic Design Engineer who has designed products for manufacture, accustomed to working to deadlines and able to communicate with customers in an eloquent and professional manner. Whilst you will have a good grounding in embedded systems software your focus will be hardware. You will be self-managing and highly motivated with a methodical, analytical approach and a willingness to work to existing design ethics and style. Essential skills and experience: Experience of working in a relevant commercial design environment Mixed Analogue and Digital Design with Micro-controllers Schematic Capture Microprocessors 8, 16, 32 Bit Highly Developed Structured Approach to Design Good technical writing and documentation experience DFMEA and problem solving techniques Approvals and Validation Manage project timing Full driving licence (you could be working on vehicle systems at customer sites) Ability to travel freely, some customers are based in the US and EU Desirable skills and experience: Switched Mode Power Supply Design Good understanding of EMC design requirements FMEA / 8D / Root Cause Analysis Programming Experience: Visual Basic, Windows Programming, C, Assembler, Software Version Control Real Time Control Systems Automotive Product Experience Control of Graphic Displays LCD, TFT Communications Protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB, CAN/Ethernet Diagnostics Vehicle Networking Development Tools Development Platforms The list below shows what kind of tools we use at Pektron to develop our products, experience in these tools is not essential.
