Inventory Controller Required for our Global Manufacturing Client based near Stourbridge. We are looking for an experienced and highly personable Inventory Controller who has a proven record within stock control including a background in Manufacturing/Warehousing and Distribution.  You will be required to work against demanding KPI’s in a service led environment and champion process throughout the operation.

You will need strong organisational skills and an analytical and logical approach to problem solving.  Excellent IT competencies are essential, specifically within Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Great Plains knowledge would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided. 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main duties will require you to play a critical and important role in ensuring the stock integrity across two sites.  You will also need to highlight and investigate stock discrepancies and ensure that all stock records are accurate and stock losses and errors are kept to an absolute minimum.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation of effective stocktaking schedules, systems and procedures.
  • Conduct PI stock counts within Company guidelines and timescales.
  • Investigating variances against physical count of inventory and maintain records and information relating to differences and periodically validate process and controls around stock movements and highlight any improvements required.
  • Being responsible for all aspects of people/resource management and department performance, measured against challenging KPI’s.
  • Maintaining and developing efficiencies through continuous improvements.
  • Ensuring all staff are fully trained and have the relevant tools, as well as identifying development opportunities and carrying out training of the team.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in order to effectively run the department.
  • Ensure compliance with all issues relating to Health & Safety, the Environment and Security.

Salary Guide: £17k - £19k depending on experience

Working Hours: 39 hours per week 8.30am - 16.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 15.30pm on Friday.
