Christchurch Group is recruiting Nurses at Hunters Moor Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Birmingham
Hunters Moor is a residential rehabilitation centre for up to 35 patients living with physical disabilities and mental health conditions; arising from brain and spinal injuries and serious neurological conditions.
Hunters Moor is split across three units on one site. The 12-bed Janet Barnes Unit accommodates those needing neurorehabilitation with complex physical rehabilitation needs. The 10-bed Olive Carter unit specialises in neurobehavioural rehabilitation for those with challenging behaviours and detained under the Mental Health Act. The Community Reintegration Unit (CRU) provides neurobehavioural rehabilitation.
Patients typically stay at Hunters Moor between 6 and 18 months, receiving specialist nursing input and undergoing physiotherapy; speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, neuropsychological and neuropsychiatric therapy, with the aim of increasing their independence and returning home or to a long-term placement.
The centre can accommodate patients with specialist nursing needs and those with tracheotomy and feeding tubes can also be supported.
We are looking for a range of team members to lead, manage and deliver the highest quality of care and rehabilitation to our patients.
Senior Nurses (RGN/RMN) - £32K
We are looking for Senior Nurses to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care to the patient and residents of the hospital. The successful candidate would be responsible for the assessment of patients care needs and for the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. Furthermore, the role requires you to take responsibility for shift management of a team of nurses in the absence of the sister/charge nurse. This role will require you to work rotational hours.
